Santa Cruz

North Monterey Bay

Belmont to Half Moon Bay then down Hwy 1

Just north of Half Moon Bay we found the famous Moss Beach Restaurant.
Sally got to stop at the little Cypress Flower Farm (home business) and
Jim got some special 'ginger-spiced' lemonade (free!). He plans to go back!
Traveling south, we pulled over to watch the 'parasurfers' put on quite a show.
Turn alertly north of the city to Natural Bridges State Park and beach area.
Take the scenic West Cliff Drive into the park and Santa Cruz Lighthouse (and surfer museum).
Steamer Lane didn't look like much on a calm and clear day. (Did I say it was foggy in Half Moon Bay?)
Where's a good, inexpensive place to stay! Rosie McCann's Irish Pub was a great place to eat.(Pacific Ave)
In the morning we found parking near the 'Boardwalk' (amusement park for kids),
but walked the pier to get some sea food with a great view of the sea cliffs and lighthouse.
